Educated in the United States, Dr. Wakim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Indiana University at Bloomington. He then went on to complete his Implant Preceptorship and his dental education at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio. He has completed over 1700 hours of continued dental education since 1990.
Achieving fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI), and Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is the former President of the Dental School Alumni Association of UT Health, San Antonio; and former Executive Committee Member of the California Dental Association PAC.
On a professional level, Dr. Wakim is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Central Florida District Dental Society, the Florida Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Clear Aligners, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Disney Institute Leadership Alumnus, and the Bell’s Leadership Alumnus.
