Dr. Cable is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon based in Pennsylvania. In collaboration with Lehigh Valley Physician Group, he practices at the following locations: LVPG Orthopedics and Sports Medicine-Dickson City & LVPG Orthopedics and Sports Medicine-Montrose.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Cable graduated with his Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology from UCLA in 1989. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1993.
Furthering his training, he performed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and his fellowship in orthopedic hand surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1999. He also performed an additional fellowship in cardiothoracic imaging at Pennsylvania Hospital in 2013.
With expertise in a wide variety of advanced techniques and procedures, Dr. Cable is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
“Medicine allows me to serve others in a meaningful way. Orthopedic surgery is mentally and physically challenging, but also rewarding, because most musculoskeletal conditions can be treated in ways that significantly improve the patient’s quality of life” stated Dr. Cable.
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
During 15 years of practice, Dr. Cable has volunteered at multiple free clinics in underserved areas and finds the work extremely rewarding. Most of these patients are in desperate need of orthopedic care and very appreciative.
His “downtime” is often spent with his three children, engaging in outdoor activities such as tennis, hiking, skiing, or physical exercise of some kind. When feeling particularly ambitious, he can be found practicing guitar.
