A respected cardiologist, Dr. George focuses on standard procedures for coronary artery disease, such as angioplasty and stent placement. Beyond coronary interventions, he is particularly skilled in minimally invasive procedures, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), which offers a revolutionary approach to treating aortic valve disease. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a passion for cardiac care, he pursued further specialization. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky, followed by a series of fellowships to hone his expertise. These included cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and an advanced interventional skills fellowship, which focused on peripheral vascular disease and the repair of structural heart disease.
The doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
With a passion for teaching, he serves as an Assistant Professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
Throughout his career, Dr. George has made significant contributions to the field of cardiology. His research and clinical expertise have resulted in multiple publications in prestigious medical journals like JACC, JACC Cardiovascular Interventions, Catheter Cardiovascular Interventions, and the Journal of Invasive Cardiology.
