Furthering his education, he graduated with his Medical Degree from the Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport in 2011.
After obtaining his medical degree he completed his internship and Ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Shreveport, where he received numerous honors including being named chief resident.
Dr. Keating holds an expertise in comprehensive Ophthalmology and eye surgery with an emphasis on cataract surgery, bladeless laser cataract surgery, refractive surgery, LASIK, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), medical retina evaluation, and glaucoma diagnosis and management. Dr. Keating is the inventor and co-founder of the SightScholar electronic eye chart, an all-in-one system used to assess visual acuity and educate patients on various eye conditions and their treatment options. Dr. Keating prides himself in providing personalized and individualized care to his patients and he is continually studying and researching the newest and most advanced treatment options in order to provide the best visual outcomes for his patients.
Azar Eye Clinic has been serving the people of Acadiana for over 70 years.
