Dr. Lluberes was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She earned her Doctorate in Medicine from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in Santo Domingo, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency in the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Lluberes migrated to the U.S. to pursue her dream of becoming a Forensic Psychiatrist. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School and her Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also pursued a Community Psychiatry Fellowship. Dr. Lluberes has made significant contributions in various roles, serving as an Associate MH Director at UTMB CMC, Clinical Director at Wayne Scott unit, and Medical Director for Mental Health Services at Harris County Jail/The Harris Center for MH-IDD. Her dream is to contribute to the much-needed change of the delivery of mental health services for the severely mentally ill, especially those who are under the custody of the criminal justice system.
