Dr. Robert Krzyzewski the ‘Best Chiropractor in Illinois and recognized as one of the finest physicians in the world by the International Society of Chiropractors. Dr. Krzyzewski currently practices as a West Chicago Chiropractor after practicing in Wheaton for 4o years. 

With a career spanning more than four decades, he operated his private practice, which was eventually sold due to redevelopment. There, Dr. Krzyzewski catered to a diverse clientele, ranging from 4-month-old infants with colic to professionals such as doctors and lawyers, members of the clergy, elite Navy SEALs, everyday individuals, some as senior as 102, and those recovering from motor vehicle accidents.

Even while working part-time, Dr. Krzyzewski demonstrated remarkable efficiency, managing up to 61 patients in a single shift. His responsibilities included conducting comprehensive exams and administering X-rays. His expertise extended to addressing a wide array of conditions, encompassing issues like back pain, neck discomfort, shoulder ailments, leg pain, hip problems, and various forms of headaches.

In the world of sports, Dr. Krzyzewski provided chiropractic care to golfers during the US Open and PGA tournaments at the Medina Country Club, thanks to recommendations from his patients on the Executive Board.

In the chiropractic field, he held certifications in the “Palmer Package” Diversified Chiropractic Technique, the Activator Technique from its inventor, Dr. Arion Luhr, and the Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) from Dr. Vern Hager. 

His commitment to continuous learning led him to study Applied Kinesiology by delving deep into Goodheart’s work and learning extremity adjusting techniques from Leroy Perry and others. 

Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Krzyzewski served as the Class President at Palmer College from 1977 to 1978, where he completed his Associate’s Degree in Science. During his time in school, he not only focused on academics but also took on the role of teaching Advanced SOT. His dedication extended to the Courtside West workout section, where he instructed both instructors and clients. 

In 1981, Dr. Krzyzewski obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree and was pre-med with the College of Dupage, after which he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Krzyzewski took on the role of Chief Physician for two law day 10K runs and taught the DuPage County Bar Association AMA permanent impairment rating. Over the years, he had the honor of treating medical doctors as patients and their families for nearly four decades. Notably, he maintained a 100% success rate with referrals to Dr. Jit Kim Lim, the former President of the American Academy of Neurosurgery, with whom he had the privilege of collaborating with for 25 years. 

His impact on the medical community extended to his 15-year collaboration with Chadwick Prodromes, the Editor for the Journal of the American Medical Association in Orthopedics and Regenerative Medicine. 

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery. 

Dedicated to fundraising and philanthropic efforts, Dr. Krzyzewski raised $250,000 for St. Michael Catholic Church, and was recognized as the Holy Name Society’s Man of the Year in 2011-2012 and the Alumni of the Year in 2010-2011 for St. Francis High School. He directed 38 communities and churches in organizing festivals, with the “Cream of Wheaton” festival being a notable achievement still celebrated annually. Additionally, He served on the Board of Directors for DuPage PADS, the county’s largest homeless organization, raising $160,000 for the Day Center in just four years.

In 2011, Dr. Krzyzewski was entrusted with saving the Wheaton VFW from closure after being open since 1931, successfully raising $40,000 and gaining coverage from WGN and WLS (Channel 7). As a core member of the Vietnam Memorial project in Winfield, Illinois, he contributed to the honor of Medal of Honor winner Robert Miller and helped raise 93% of the funds needed for the memorial. 

His influence extended to the Vietnam Traveling Wall project, where he played a vital part in raising 30% of the necessary funds. Furthermore, Dr. Krzyzewski served as a consultant for the Veterans Memorial of DuPage County.

His personal life includes a 42-year marriage to his beloved wife, Cynthia, until her courageous battle with leukemia in 2019. Together, they have raised a remarkable family of seven children, six daughters and one son, and have been blessed with nine grandchildren. The family has proudly called Wheaton, Illinois, home for over 55 years, a testament to their enduring connection with the community.
