A board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Kazemi is the Director of Cosmetic & Laser Dermatology at Pinnacle Dermatology in Centreville, Virginia. 

With his fingers on the pulse of today’s dermatology, he is transplanting back home from New York City with an enthusiastic energy to deliver modern, safe, and cutting-edge cosmetic and laser treatments to Pinnacle Dermatology. 

In addition to providing services in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and pediatric dermatology, his special interests include hair loss, psoriasis, skin cancer, cosmetic injectables, lasers, and skin of color, to name a few.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kazemi attended the University of Virginia and George Mason University for his undergraduate education, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in 2018.

Furthering his education, he completed a year-long research fellowship in ethnic dermatology with leaders in skin of color. He also completed one post-graduate year of internal medicine training at Howard University Hospital, and three postgraduate years of dermatology training at New York Medical College in New York City where he served as the resident cutaneous surgery chief in his senior year. 

Dedicated to excellence, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Kazemi is an active member of the Skin of Color Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Afghan Medical Professionals Association of America, and the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society.

A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.

Serving as a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Dr. Kazemi has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts in high-impact dermatology journals like the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (where his original research adorned the front cover twice), Dermatology Online Journal, and Journal of Dermatological Treatment. He frequently presents his research at many national dermatology conferences. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Kazemi is fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish, Persian (Dari and Farsi), and English.
