Regarding his educational background, Dr. El-Bershawi graduated with his medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine in Egypt. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Kansas University Medical Center, and his fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of New Mexico Sleep Center.
