Dr. Alan J. Shienbaum is a board-certified pathologist who is in private practice at Pathology Associates of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Keystone Medical Laboratories. Pathology Associates was established in 1958 and is Northeastern Pennsylvania’s premier pathology group. Keystone Medical Laboratories was opened in 2008 and is a sister company of Pathology Associates.
Additionally, Dr. Shienbaum is on the medical staff at Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania. In 1994, Dr. Shienbaum earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then went on to complete his residency in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology at Temple University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Cytopathology at MCP/Hahnemann University Hospital.
Dr. Shienbaum holds the position of President of the American Osteopathic College of Pathologists, the premier membership organization for osteopathic physicians specializing in the field of pathology. He also holds board certification in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology.
