Alberta Lucy May, RN, Registered Nurse

Get to know Registered Nurse, Alberta Lucy May, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

Alberta is a registered nurse currently serving her patients in Texas where she specializes in labor and delivery. 

With a broad educational background, she received her nursing degree from Panola College in 1983, before earning her Associate’s Degree in Nursing at the same educational venue in 1997. Later, she attended Grand Canyon University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2018, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2021. 

Furthermore, Alberta is a professional member of The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Nurses Association.  

On a more personal note, she attributes her success to her love of helping others, teaching, and being able to make a difference.

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. RNs fulfill a variety of job duties. In addition to their primary role in treating and caring for patients, their responsibilities also include educating patients and the public about a variety of medical conditions, as well as providing emotional support and advice to the families of their patients. Other RN job functions include leadership, research, performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering medications, recording patients’ symptoms and medical histories, and assisting with patient rehabilitation and follow-up.
