After completing his internship at the same educational venue and his residency in neurosurgery at Shohada Hospital, he relocated to the United States. There, he went on to complete his fellowship in neuro-oncology surgery at the Cleveland Clinic (2012) and his fellowships in radiosurgery at  the same educational venue (2013). 

In addition to having made several publications in the field of brain tumor surgery, his specialty interests include awake and sleep surgery for brain tumors like  gliomas, meningiomas, brain metastases, and more. He is an international thought leader in the field of laser ablation for brain tumors and had several publications and served as invited speaker for numerous national and international scientific meetings.

Neurosurgery, or neurological surgery, is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. Neurosurgeons are doctors who diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system, often by performing surgery on the brain or spine. They treat strokes, tumors, certain types of birth defects, infections, and head or spinal cord injuries. Neurosurgical oncology in particular deals with diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant brain tumors.
