Dr. Brook, an experienced radiologist, has been the Director of Interventional Neuroradiology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York City, New York since 1995. He leads a multidisciplinary team that treats various cerebrovascular diseases, including brain aneurysms and stroke. Other vascular diseases that are treated with minimally invasive techniques are arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spine, carotid stenosis, nose bleeds, and vascular tumors.  In addition,  minimally invasive treatments for headaches and venous stenosis are performed with stenting.

Professionally, he is also a part of the Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care. The Center delivers advanced patient-centered, multidisciplinary care designed to maximize treatment outcomes while optimizing the quality of life for each patient. It represents the strong partnership between Montefiore and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which allows for the translation of research and knowledge into improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all cancers.  Our center has a focus and expertise on treating metastatic spine cancer with latest in percutaneous ablation and vertebral augmentation.  Many weight bearing bones are weakened by cancer and cause pain as well as being unstable.  Non-invasive stabilization techniques allow for decreasing pain and preventing worsening collapse

Minimally invasive treatments for spinal fractures due to osteoporosis are termed vertebral augmentation.  This includes kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty.  As a leader in this field internationally, our center provides the latest in technology and advancements in height restoration.  Interspinous spacers placed percutaneously is a modern way of treating spinal stenosis without open surgery.

With over three decades of experience in his field, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Dr. Brook has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology.

With a longstanding interest in teaching, Dr. Brook serves as a Professor of Radiology & Neurosurgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, the Department of Radiology and Neurological Surgery aims to provide an optimal experience for patients throughout the region.
