What’s more, she lectures about 3D Printing in orthodontics and focuses on bringing the best care for her patients through advancements in esthetic and accelerated treatments. In regards to her educational background, Dr. Cheng earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 2012. Wanting to further her education, she completed her specialty training in orthodontics and craniofacial orthopedics at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2014. Her exceptional skills allowed her to study under some of the world’s best orthodontists at both Harvard and the Mayo Clinic. 

Among her many achievements, she was voted Best Orthodontist by SF Weekly in 2019. She also attained membership status with several professional organizations, including the San Francisco Dental Society, the California Association of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. 

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of malpositioned teeth and jaws. As an orthodontist, Dr. Cheng is responsible for identifying problems with the positioning of a patient’s teeth and with their oral development. She utilizes the most advanced procedures and equipment available to ensure that every patient achieves a healthy and beautiful smile. 

Having grown up in Beijing, Singapore and Canada, Dr. Cheng is fluent in both English and Mandarin. Focusing her research on oral cancer, she has presented her findings in Barcelona, as well as has served as a lecturer at the Beijing School of Stomatology. 

Passionate about global health, she has worked with the Pediatric AIDS Treatment Support (PATS) Project to provide dental care in Anhui, China for HIV positive children. In addition to providing charity dental services for underserved populations in Belize and Brazil, she enjoys working at her favorite foundation, Home of Hope, which is an orphanage for handicapped children in Uganda.
