Following this, Dr. Owens underwent an internship at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in 2016 for Internal Medicine Preliminary Year. Subsequently, she continued her internship at St. Vincent Hospital-Cleveland (Ohio).
In 2020, Dr. Owens completed her residency in diagnostic radiology at Case Western Reserve MetroHealth Medical Center, as well as an additional residency in radiology at MetroHealth Medical Center, both located in Cleveland, Ohio.
Finally, in 2021, she participated in a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
A leader in her field, Dr. Owens is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR). The AOBR is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Diagnostic radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A diagnostic radiologist uses X-rays, radionuclides, ultrasound, and electromagnetic radiation to diagnose and treat disease.
