She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College. There, she maintained an outstanding academic status and was chosen by the school’s Dean to serve as a member of the Curriculum Committee for four consecutive years to develop and improve the curriculum of Touro College of Dental Medicine. She also completed a residency within the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital.
In order to stay up to date in her field, she is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the District of Columbia Dental Society.
