As a practicing neurologist, Dr. Zangaladze brings more than three decades of combined experience in patient care, scientific research, and academia. He is director of Jefferson New Jersey Neurology and chief of service of neurology.
The Jefferson New Jersey Neurology offers a full-range of neuroscience services for patients needing outpatient and/or follow-up care. Their team also offers consultations for in-hospital stays at Jefferson’s three acute care hospitals, making the transition to hospitalization and vice versa as seamless as possible for each patient. Their neurologists and neurosurgery specialists work collaboratively with referring physicians, and return patients to their primary care provider when their course of treatment is completed.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Zangaladze earned his medical degree from the Tbilisi State Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1987. Upon relocating to the United States, he performed his internship at the Emory University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in neurology and his fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Following his education, he attained board certification in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
