Being a people person, nursing is Angela’s second career. She was a cosmetologist for many years and enjoyed making people feel good. However, it wasn’t until her father-in-law was hospitalized that she realized how wonderful nurses are. She wanted to give back to the profession that helped her family during such a vulnerable time.
Now, with years of experience, she attributes her success to treating others how she would want her own family to be treated, having an open door policy with her staff, as well as being a patient advocate.
As for her academic career, she earned her nursing degree from Marion Technical College Marion, Ohio in 2006. Years later, she went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 2015.
To stay up to date in her field, she remains a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. She is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS – not intended for postnominal use).
