He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine & pediatrics at Bridgeport Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospitals in 1991, followed by his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Brown University Affiliated Hospitals in 1994.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and the National Board Of Physicians. To become board certified physicians must pass rigorous examinations in each subspecialty, and maintain certification through recurrent testing, and participation in ongoing educational activities.
