An exceptional podiatrist, Dr. Benenati works with patients at his private practice – Benenati Foot & Ankle Care Centers – with offices in Macomb, St. Clair Shores, and Warren, Michigan. He specializes in total ankle replacement, complex forefoot and hindfoot reconstruction, deformity correction using thin-wire external fixation, flatfoot deformity reconstruction, achilles tendon disorders, arthroscopic techniques of the ankle and subtalar joint, foot and ankle trauma, and wound care.

Starting with his first location in 1993, he has been dedicated to preserving limbs and providing Michigan residents effective ankle and foot pain relief from all kinds of short term and chronic conditions. Each location is staffed with highly trained, experienced podiatrists who genuinely care about each patient they treat. By focusing on their patients’ quality of life and overall health and well-being, they are able to diagnose and treat the cause, rather than the symptom, of their foot and ankle pain.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Benenati graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991, and completed a comprehensive residency in foot and ankle reconstructive podiatric surgery at the St. John North Shore Hospital in 1993.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, as well as the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a distinguished member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association, and the Italian American Chamber of Commerce.

Throughout his career, Dr. Benenati has held many leadership positions including Chief of Podiatric Surgery and Medicine and the Residency Director for the Foot and Ankle Reconstruction program at St. John Macomb Hospital. He is a member of multiple podiatric medical and surgical residency programs, which he is personally involved with the training of the podiatry residents.

In addition to seeing patients at his private practice, he can be found on staff at Henry Ford Hospital, Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe, and Beaumont Hospital, Troy
