Dr. Sabghir is a podiatrist who is currently serving patients at her private practice, Pediatric Foot & Ankle in New York City, New York. There, she specializes in the management and treatment of congenital, acquired, and developmental problems of the foot and ankle. The goal is to provide patients and family members with the educational tools to understand the condition being treated and to work together to achieve resolution. Dr. Sabghir believes that visiting the doctor should be a stress-free, pleasant experience to get each patient back up on their feet as soon as possible.

Dr. Sabghir is also affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Sabghir has been a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association since 2010, the Wound Healing Society since 2015, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics since 2016. Dr. Sabghir attributes her success to working very hard to build a name and a reputation for herself. Dr. Sabghir is heavily involved in the International Down Syndrome Corporation and has a special interest in working with the special needs population. 

Dr. Sabghir earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2014. During her time there, she was the President of the Podopediatrics Club, a student ambassador, and an academic tutor. She then went on to complete a three-year surgical residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan where she completed her training in podiatric medicine and surgery. Dr. Sabghir received extensive training in elective forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, pediatric deformities and infections, treatment of lower extremity sports injuries, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Sabghir has particular interest in congenital, biomechanical, and pathologic conditions of the pediatric foot and ankle. She has been a part of multiple pediatric academic studies throughout her training, as well as has presented one of her research projects at the APMA conference in 2014. She has also volunteered at multiple marathons and sporting events around the United States, at pediatric foot screenings, and at Yanhee International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. 

Podiatry or podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. Podiatrists treat a variety of foot and ankle ailments, including calluses, ingrown toenails, heel spurs, and arch problems. They also treat foot and leg problems associated with diabetes and other diseases.
