In regards to her education, Dr. Valovska earned her Medical Degree from Sofia Medical Academy Faculty of Medicine in 1990 in Bulgaria. After relocating to the United States, she went on to complete a residency at Boston Medical Center in anesthesiology and a fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Additionally, Dr. Valovska is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. The ABA aims to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during and after surgery. She also has a clinical interest in back pain, headaches, and pelvic pain.
With over 29 years of experience in the field, Dr. Valovska has treated thousands of patients at home and abroad. She currently serves as an instructor in Anesthesia and Pain Management at Harvard Medical School. She has also published and co-published many expert articles in renown medical journals.
