Barbara is a registered nurse who is retired from practice. During her active years in the field, she specialized in operating room nursing, a unique field in which nurses provide quality care to patients before, during, and after surgery.
Attributing her success to her mentors, her drive to success, and her willingness to work hard, Barbara earned her nursing degree from Northern Virginia Community College back in 1996. She served as a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
A registered nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. RNs fulfill a variety of job duties.
