A 2020 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Onwumbiko is an Otorhinolaryngology Resident at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. 

The Department of Otolaryngology at Tufts Medical Center offers a postgraduate residency training program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The program is dedicated to the training for clinical and academic careers involving disorders of the head and neck. Among her volunteer efforts, Dr. Onwumbiko served as a Student Mentoring & Academic Reinforcement Tutor with the Duke Pre-Health Volunteer Program, Lenox Baker Children’s Hospital (August 2013 – May 2014), a Mentor / Academic Tutor with Females Excelling More in Math, Engineering, and Science (February 2013 – May 2016), and as an Elementary School (1st Grade) Tutor & Teaching Assistant at Duke Child Connect (August 2012 – December 2012).

Otorhinolaryngology is a surgical subspecialty within medicine that deals with the surgical and medical management of conditions of the head and neck. Doctors who specialize in this area are called otorhinolaryngologists, otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons, or ENT surgeons or physicians.
