Dr. Deheshi is a skilled orthopedic surgeon with over 15 years of experience and a sub-specialty in orthopedic oncology. He has performed over 1,000 hip and knee replacements and is one of the few surgeons in the DFW area who specializes in hip and knee revisions and orthopedic oncology.
In his clinical role, he develops a personalized plan for each patient based on their unique condition and lifestyle, whether it be surgical or non-surgical. He is also known for his use of minimally-invasive, tendon sparing techniques which result in rapid recovery, earlier return to normal function, and decreased pain and disability during the recovery period.
Practicing an evidence-based approach to orthopedics, Dr, Deheshi has a reputation for being highly-regarded throughout Tarrant County and the surrounding regions and receives many referrals from local and regional orthopedic surgeons and oncologists.
With a broad educational background, he graduated with his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in 2000, before completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Ottawa, where he served as Chief Resident.
Subsequently, Dr. Deheshi went on to complete a subspecialty fellowship in orthopedic oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by a Master of Science degree at the University of Toronto while practicing orthopedic oncology. He was also promoted to Associate Professor at McMaster University after training numerous medical students, residents, and fellows in orthopedic surgery.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
After spending the first 11 years of his post-fellowship orthopedic practice in Canada, Dr. Deheshi moved to Texas with his family in 2017 and started his first practice in Fort Worth. He now has a location in Southlake to serve patients from the Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville, and Mid Cities areas.
