Academically, Dr. Griffith earned her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1993. She then went on to perform her internship at NYU Langone Hospital — Long Island in 1994, her residency at North Shore University Hospital in 1998, and her fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1999.
Familiar with the standards of care in her field, she is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Attributing her success to hard work, dedication, divine grace, and a desire to help those less fortunate, Dr. Griffith remains at the forefront of her challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations. These include: the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, the American Association for Women Radiologists, and the New York Roentgen Ray Society.
Furthermore, she has staff memberships at several local hospitals, including Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, and Inova Loudoun Hospital, and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
