Bernie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiac care. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Bernie has served as the National Clinical Director for AllerVie Health (2021 – 2022), St. Luke’s Health Division DSRIP Program Coordinator at St. Luke’s Health (2017 – 2021), Nurse Practitioner Team Lead at St. Luke’s Health (2014 – 2021), BSLMC DSRIP Program Manager at St. Luke’s Health (2014 – 2021), and as a Preceptor at St. Luke’s Health (2014 – 2021).
A collaborative, purposeful provider with a compassionate, straightforward approach and a vision for innovation, Bernie does preceptorships for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
In addition, she is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses.
A Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) holds board certification and provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families across all ages, genders, diseases, and body systems. FNPs maintain patient records, perform physical exams, order or perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, as well as treat acute and chronic illnesses, conditions, and injuries that fall under primary care.
