She is a Professor within the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Division of Diagnostic Imaging at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She also serves as an Assistant Professor within the Division of Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and as Nuclear Medicine Site Director of Educational Programs in Radiation Oncology in Houston.

Back in 1994, Dr. Chasen graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Trinity University. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1999.

Furthering her training, she performed her clinical residencies in obstetrics and gynecology & nuclear medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 2000 and 2002, respectively. She then completed an additional clinical residency in diagnostic and interventional imaging at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2006.

An authority in her field, the doctor is board-certified in nuclear medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine & in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology.

Among her institutional committee activities, Dr. Chasen is a member and Department Quality Officer on the DI Quality Functional Committee (2014 – Present), a member of the DI Functional Clinical Operations Committee (2013 – Present), a member of the Nuclear Medicine Peer Review Committee (2013 – Present), a Representative of CCMS Nuclear Medicine (2012 – Present), a member on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) 1 (2010 – Present), on the Department Liaison of the Women Faculty Program (2010 – Present), and a Nuclear Medicine Representative at Faculty Senate (2010 – Present).

Her currently funded ongoing projects as nuclear medicine co-principal investigator include: A Multicenter, Pivotal Phase 3 Study of Iomab-B Prior to Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation versus Conventional Care in Older Subjects with Active, Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia; A Multicenter Open Label Phase I/II Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, Biodistribution, and Anti-Tumor Activity of 177Lu-OPS201 with Companion Imaging 68Ga-OPS202 PET/CT in Previously Treated Subjects with Locally Advanced or Metastatic Cancers Expressing Somatostatin Receptor 2; and An International Multi-Centre, Open-Label Study to Evaluate Safety,Tolerability, Biodistribution, Dosimetry and Preliminary Efficacy of 177Lu-OPS201 for the Therapy of Somatostatin Receptor Positive Neuroendocrine Tumors (NETs).
