Beth G. Louie, MD, an Allergist & Immunologist with Warwick Allergy

Get to know Allergist & Immunologist Dr. Beth G. Louie, who serves patients throughout New York and New Jersey.

A seasoned allergist & immunologist, Dr. Louie is the Medical Director at Warwick Allergy, with offices in Warwick and Monroe, New York, as well as Hackensack, New Jersey.

“When I first became a physician more than 25 years ago, I devoted myself to children as a board-certified pediatrician. I noticed that many of my young patients suffered with various allergies that put their well-being at risk. Being an allergy sufferer myself for most of my childhood helped me make the decision to specialize in allergy and immunology. I am fascinated by all the progress we’ve made in this exciting area of medicine. There are so many ways now to effectively manage allergies and asthma and help people live better lives. While I enjoy the medical and scientific aspects of what I do, caring for my patients on a personal level is by far the most gratifying part of being an allergist” expressed the doctor.

Back in the early days of her academic career, she graduated with her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1976. She then went on to complete her residency in allergy & immunology at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in allergy & immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). The mission of the ABAI is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology.

To boot, Dr. Louie is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Allergy and immunology involve the management of disorders related to the immune system. These conditions range from the very common to the very rare, spanning all ages and encompassing various organ systems. An allergist / immunologist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat, and manage allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders, including primary immunodeficiency disorders.

As a testament to her success, Dr. Louie has been the recipient of the On-Time Doctor Award (2014), Patients’ Choice Award (2013), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2013).
