Beth Sweney, PA-C, a dermatology physician assistant, serves as the Co-Founder of River City Dermatology in Grand Rapids, Michigan. With a strong focus on chronic inflammatory skin diseases, she is committed to providing personalized and evidence-based care to her patients.
With a specialization in chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema/atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa, Beth is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals suffering from these conditions. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Ferris State University in 2016, Beth was named The Outstanding Graduate in Biology. She then obtained her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in 2018 and is now Affiliated with the Clinical Faculty for GVSU’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program.
Having managed one of the largest psoriasis patient populations in the nation, Beth previously served as the Clinical Supervisor of the Psoriasis and Eczema Treatment Center for over four years.
Among her professional affiliations, she is recognized as a Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and as a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates.
As a nationally renowned speaker and passionate educator, Beth is frequently sought after for her expertise in medications, protocols, and pathophysiology related to chronic skin diseases. Her dedication to research is evident through the publication of her first research article on psoriasis in January 2024.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Beth enjoys staying active through exercise and unwinding at her favorite vacation spot in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
