Dr. Shue is a board-certified vascular surgeon who joined The Vascular Experts in 2019. He specializes in integrated vascular surgery at their offices in Waterton and Farmington, Connecticut. He also maintains hospital privileges at Manchester Hospital, Middlesex Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Waterbury Hospital. Previously, he was the Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Founded in 2001 to deliver expert vascular medical and surgical care, The Vascular Experts is now the largest group of board-certified vascular surgeons in the country. Their team of surgeons maintain surgical privileges at all the local hospitals and have access to the most up to date medical equipment and technology available. Graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Shue earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his residency in vascular surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor is board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
Continuously advancing his efforts, he is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and the Society for Vascular Surgery. He is also certified by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration Registration.
Vascular surgery is a surgical subspecialty in which diseases of the vascular system, including the arteries, veins, and lymphatic circulation, are managed by medical therapy, minimally invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction.
