Amy C. Franklin, RN, DNS-MT, RAC-MT, a national leader in post-acute care education and clinical operations, brings her decades of expertise to both the healthcare and legal arenas. With over 25 years of service in long-term care and more than two decades in leadership, Amy continues to elevate the profession through her work as an independent consultant, master teacher, curriculum developer, and patient advocate.
As a long-standing member and certified Master Teacher for the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN®), Amy is a trusted voice in regulatory education, reimbursement strategy, and quality systems improvement. She has trained thousands of healthcare professionals, including Directors of Nursing, MDS Coordinators, administrators, and surveyors nationwide, helping to shape a better future for long-term care through knowledge, compassion, and strategic leadership.
Her respected role in the post-acute care space has led to collaborations with providers, state agencies, software vendors, and professional associations. Amy regularly speaks at state and national forums and develops credentialed educational content to guide providers through evolving clinical and regulatory landscapes.
In May 2023, Amy further broadened her impact by joining HPS Law Firm (Hall Prangle & Schoonveld, LLC) as a Legal Nurse Consultant. In this secondary yet complementary role, she provides expert insights into complex healthcare legal cases, helping legal teams interpret medical records and standards of care.
