On his educational path, Dr. Mares Beltran graduated with his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in 2014. He then went on to complete his pediatric residency at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem Hospital in 2019, followed by his fellowship in medical genetics and genomics at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2021. He is double-board certified in pediatrics and clinical genetics. 

Currently training to become a metabolic geneticist, Dr. Mares Beltran is a Medical Biochemical Genetics Fellow (PGY6) within the Division of Metabolic Disorders at Children’s Health of Orange County (CHOC) in Orange, California.
