Leading Physician Launches Ohana Med Spas and Kona Rehab
Dr. Carolyn Candido, a board certified family physician in aesthetic medicine, is expanding access to holistic beauty and women’s wellness throughout the Hawaiian islands. Dr Candido’s Ohana Med Spas is located in Honolulu and the new launch of Kona Rehab is located in Kailua Kona.
Her innovative approach focuses on helping menopausal women not only feel better, but also look better through a range of services including hormone replacement therapy, botox, fillers, and weight loss programs.
Dr. Candido believes in a personalized approach to menopause to help women reclaim control over their hot flashes, weight, energy and libido. She believes bioidentical hormones are the secret to the fountain of youth, allowing women to maintain their youthful skin and a healthy weight as they age. In addition to semaglutide, Dr. Candido recommends weight training, a low carb diet and sleep to help women lose weight.
As a native of San Diego, Dr. Candido obtained her Medical Degree from the UC Davis School of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. As a Diplomate of both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Candido is recognized for her expertise and commitment to excellence in her field.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Candido is actively involved in education and training initiatives. She collaborates with Learn Skin, an integrative dermatology platform, to develop educational programs and offers hands-on training for providers through her Botox Bootcamp. She is also a founding member of Honolulu Holistic Healers, contributing to the advancement of holistic healthcare practices in the community.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Candido enjoys learning about Hawaiian culture and connecting with nature through practicing hula, volunteering with local farms, and free diving. Her passion for serving others extends beyond the confines of her practice, reflecting her genuine commitment to making a positive impact in Hawaii.
