Since March of 2023, she has been serving as the Chief of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Academically, Dr. Simmons graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Florida State University. She then went on to earn her Medical Degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., after which she obtained her Master of Business Administration Degree from the Yale School of Management.

Specializing in women’s health, the doctor is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Prior to her current endeavors, Dr. Simmons served as a Partner Physician at Kaiser Permanente (March 2023), Director of the General OB GYN Division at Montefiore (January 2021 – March 2023), and as a Partner at WESTMED Practice Partners (July 2015 – January 2021).
