Education-wise, Dr. Paller’s journey towards becoming a renowned oncologist began with the acquisition of her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, followed by a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Alongside her clinical training, she sought diverse experiences to enrich her understanding of cancer research and treatment modalities. She embarked on rotations at prominent institutions such as the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program and the Food and Drug Administration, where she honed her expertise in investigational drug evaluation and regulatory science.

Passionate about her profession, Dr. Paller is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Committed to excellence extends beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Paller is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research. Prior to this, her groundbreaking contributions were acknowledged with the 2015 Passano Clinician Scientist Award, celebrating her early-stage research that has already begun to leave an indelible mark on the scientific community. Her remarkable achievements were further underscored by prestigious accolades such as the 2011-2012 Young Investigator Award by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the 2011-12 Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Paul Carbone Award, highlighting her promise as a trailblazer in the field. She has received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense,  Prostate Cancer Foundation, and multiple other foundations.

More recently she has partnered with VA leadership to develop PROFOUND-VET- a network of clinicians and researchers working together to mine data to improve guidelines and care for Veterans.
