Two years later, in 1988, he completed his fellowship at the Philadelphia Heart Institute, and in 1989, he completed a specialty year in interventional cardiology, also at the Philadelphia Heart Institute.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Holding several cardiovascular device patents, Dr. Cummings has been the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Sinai Hospital since 1998.
