He also earned membership with the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he obtained his medical degree in 2010. He then completed his neurosurgical residency with the Department of Neurosurgery at Indiana University, followed by a cerebrovascular and skull base fellowship with Troy Payner, MD, at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine.
The doctor’s clinical research interests include surgical treatment of stroke, neurotrauma, tumors and vascular lesions of the brain and spine, minimally invasive and subcortical cranial surgery, degenerative spine conditions, and neurosurgical education. Alongside his current role, he serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
A member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, he is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.
