A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Brown is the Founder of Newton-Wellesley Family Pediatrics. Specializing in prematurity, his practice is open for new pediatric patients of all ages.
Newton-Wellesley Family Pediatrics is committed to providing the highest quality pediatric care for the family. Founded over two decades ago by Dr. Brown, his employees have a total of thirty years of combined expertise and they have seen over four thousand patients since then. They offer a wide range of services, from prenatal care to care for those of college age, and from routine well child visits to mental health and behavioral health coaching.
Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Brown graduated with his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine in 1979. He then completed his residency training at Children’s Hospital, San Francisco in 1983.
Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. On a more personal note, he is the father of six grown children and 2 grandchildren. He is passionate about the Newton-Wellesley community and loves to kayak, travel, and cross-country ski in his spare time.
