Pertaining to her educational pursuits, Chelsea graduated with honors (Phi Theta Kappa) from Montgomery College in 2004, and has studied in pediatric, neonatal and adult emergency medicine, psychiatry, critical care and medical practice management for 20 years. Furthermore, she is certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. On a more personal note, she attributes her success to her drive to serve, give back to her community and change lives.  She was awarded Foster Parent of the year, Montgomery County Maryland in 2010, for recognition in her outstanding performance, compassion and drive, in her choice to adopt a sibling group of four children, in 2003, (ages 3,5,6 & 7). She raised them as her own into adulthood. She was also the youngest adult single woman, in the state of Maryland  to adopt a sibling group of four at age 22, with her two year old son at that time. Chelsea is now the mother of 6, happily married living in Hagerstown, MD. She was a volunteer EMT at Rescue 2 in Wheaton, MD for many years starting at age 15. She was the primary speaker for the Family  Justice Center in 2011 and raised over 50K to help open the facility. Also a speaker at the annual Choose Respect  conference, victims impact, Center for Adoption Support, LEAP, and Police training support. More recently she participated in a podcast with Bill Mitchell from “When Dating Hurts”, which has the most plays to date . She is a very passionate advocate of educating others on mental health, autism, trauma, domestic violence, foster care, developmental delays, suicide prevention and screening and how it effects children, adults and their families. She also helps families with IEP & 504 support, helping bridge positive communication between schools and parents.

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. RNs fulfill a variety of job duties. In addition to their primary role in treating and caring for patients, their responsibilities also include educating patients and the public about a variety of medical conditions, as well as providing emotional support and advice to the families of their patients. Other RN job functions include leadership, research, performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering medications, recording patients’ symptoms and medical histories, and assisting with patient rehabilitation and follow-up.
