With broad experience, the doctor’s personal approach has made her a primary advocate in pain management. She has been successful in treating persistent migraine pain, spine pain & spasticity, as well as managed pain medicine in a large acute medical rehabilitation hospital. Her goal is to control the patient’s pain using a variety of techniques that are matched with targeted physical therapy.
Originally from San Antonio, Dr. Vidouria attended the University of Texas at El Paso on an athletic scholarship. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. Wanting to further her education, she performed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and her fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Partnering with patients to live pain free lives, she is board-certified in interventional pain medicine and chronic pain management by the American Board of Pain Medicine, whose mission is to improve the quality of pain medicine. Likewise, she is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
To advance her professional efforts, she remains a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Pain Society, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the International Spine Intervention Society.
Having always wanted to teach medical students, Dr. Vidouria joined as part-time faculty at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, teaching Development of Osteopathic Clinical Skills. She enjoys interacting and shaping the future of osteopathic medicine and feels confident that the curriculum facilitates life-long critical thinkers as well as compassionate physicians.
