Dr. Got is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with University Orthopedics, serving patients at the offices in East Greenwich and East Providence, Rhode Island. He has a special interest in upper extremity trauma, joint replacement, nerve compression syndromes, and arthroscopy.

University Orthopedics in Providence, Rhode Island, is a regional referral center for patients with back and neck pain, joint pain, sports medicine problems, shoulder pain, hand problems, hip and knee pain, as well as foot and ankle injury. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Got graduated with AOA honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – New Jersey Medical School in his home state. He then moved to New England and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Brown University. He continued his training with two additional fellowships – one in orthopedic trauma at Brown University and the other in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at Harvard University – Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At present, he holds an academic appointment of Assistant Professor within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. 

Both his peers and hospital administration have recognized him during his training for his exceptional leadership and patient care, receiving both the Most Valuable Resident and the Haffenreffer Housestaff Excellence Awards. The doctor has also earned board certification through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. 

Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Got has participated in both clinical and basic science research projects funded by the NIH and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand – ASSH/AFSH. He has also authored a multitude of articles, book chapters, and national or international presentations.

In honor of his clinical expertise, he is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018), On-Time Doctor Award (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), Patients’ Choice Award (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018), Top 10 Doctor – City (2014), and Top 10 Doctor – Neighborhood (2014).

In his personal life, Dr. Got is married with children. His wife, Carin, is an anesthesiologist also working at Brown University – Rhode Island Hospital. Together, they have 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl collectively enjoying soccer, lacrosse, skiing, and the beach.
