In light of his advanced training, he is the first surgeon in Northwestern Pennsylvania to implant the first trifocal intraocular lens, the PanOptix, offered in the United States.
A Fellow of American College of Surgeons, Dr. Joseph is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Additionally, he is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Boards of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, a joint organization that provides board certification to qualified DOs who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the eye (ophthalmologists) and to qualified DOs who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat (otolaryngologists).
