As a medical student at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Dr. Rizk graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class and was elected to both the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (a society for the top medical students in the country) and the Gold Humanism Honor Society (a society recognizing excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service). After medical school, he completed his residency in dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine where he continued to excel, publishing over 50 papers in medical journals, and scoring in the top 10% percent in the country on his dermatology in-training exam.
A contributor to the dermatological section of Haymarket Medical Network, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Rizk is an active member of the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the Houston Dermatological Society (Treasurer), and the Texas Dermatologic Society.
