Dr. Haffner is a board-certified pediatric dentist who is specially trained to treat the dental needs of all children. Her private practice is located in Alpharetta, Georgia, serving infants, children, and teens in the surrounding areas of Cumming, Milton, Roswell, and Johns Creek.

On the subject of her educational background, Dr. Haffner received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Furman University. She then received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She continued her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she received her Certification in Pediatric Dentistry. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (FAAPD), the dentist is a member of the American Dental Association and the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, whose mission is to certify pediatric dentists through a voluntary examination process that continuously validates their knowledge, skills, and experience for delivering quality patient outcomes.

Having done research in many different areas of dentistry and dental science, Dr. Haffner’s research includes studies in the aging craniofacial skeleton. She developed a method to study changes in the skeleton and found skeletal changes that occur in the skeleton as it matures. Her findings are published in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Angle Orthodontics. She has also done lectures on these topics at National Medical Conventions. Due to her expertise, and desire to give back, she completes medical missionary, where she goes to Columbia and does dental work with the organization Together We Smile on orphans for free.

Other areas of special interest for Dr. Haffner include special needs and craniofacial genetics. She did additional research and volunteer work through her participation in a craniofacial anomalies team, where she helped to devise treatment approaches for children with special dental needs. 

Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through young adulthood.
