Dr. Craig Loucks is a highly trained and qualified surgeon with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work, especially trauma and minimally invasive hip and knee surgery. Dr. Loucks holds over 14 years of experience in his field and is currently serving patients within his practice Peak Orthopedics & Spine located in Lone Tree, Colorado. He is also affiliated with Sky Ridge Medical Center, Cherry Creek Surgery Center, and Lincoln Surgery Center.
Prior to his medical career, Dr. Loucks graduated with his Bachelor of Life Sciences Degree with honors in 1993 from Queen’s University, followed by his Master of Science Degree in 1995 within the same educational venue. He then attended the University of Calgary, gaining his Medical Degree in 1998. Following his graduation, Dr. Loucks completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of British Columbia School of Medicine, before undertaking his AO Trauma Fellowship at St. Anthony’s Trauma Center. Dr. Loucks is board certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Loucks maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Loucks and his partner Dr. Greenhow were the first surgeons in the Denver area to perform the Anterior Minimally Invasive Hip Replacement Procedure. He serves as a international lecturer and proctor for minimally invasive hip and knee surgery. In addition, he is a design surgeon for Medacta International, an innovative company focusing on cutting edge products to improve patient care. He attributes his success to his training and being on the cutting edge of evolving technology. In his free time, Dr. Loucks enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a physician, and their twin daughters.
