Following her graduation, Dr. Hung subsequently completed her 3 year General Medicine training in her native Venezuela, followed by 5 years of practice mostly oriented towards Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She completed her residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, during which she was actively involved in a resident physicians advocacy group called CIR, becoming President of the group in her hospital and Vice President for the New York chapter nationwide. Her efforts were recognized by the hospital leadership at the time of her departure.
Dr. Hung is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians. To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in her field, Dr. Hung maintains a professional membership with the American Medical Association and the Society of Hospital Medicine. For her excellence, Dr. Hung has been double nominated for Best Physician at New Milford Hospital. She has been a dedicated Internal Medicine Hospitalist for the last 14 years, with experience in both acute (hospitals) and post acute care (rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities.) Dr. Hung attributes her successful career to her perseverance, unwavering determination, and her faith in God. When she is not assisting her patients, Dr. Hung enjoys cooking, taking casual walks, listening to music, and singing.
