With attention to detail and a desire for perfection, what defines Dr. Deheshi is the level of care he puts into his work. Whether it is a simple filling or a comprehensive cosmetic treatment, he applies maximum focus and precision. He takes his passion for art and beauty and applies them to his dental work, resulting in accurate and predictable dentistry.
Having been forward-thinking from the beginning of his practice, Dr. Deheshi continues to choose evidence-backed materials and treatments to provide a most beautiful, natural and durable result. Beginning his education journey at the University of Regina, Dr. Deheshi graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Distinction in 2002, and with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with Distinction in 2003. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2007, after which he performed a General Practice Residency within the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at Royal University Hospital in 2008.
Staying up-to-date in all areas of dental treatment and therapy, Dr. Deheshi is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, the British Columbia Dental Association, the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, and numerous local and national dental associations and study clubs.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat problems with patients’ oral health, teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth. They provide advice and instructions on taking care of your teeth and gums and on diet choices that affect oral health.
From volunteering abroad to local communities, giving back is an important part of Dr. Deheshi’s philosophy about work and life. He keeps involved with community sports.
With his own children involved, community sports are an important part of his family life. Dr. Deheshi has had the pleasure of working with hockey teams, including the Vancouver Giants.
On a more personal note, he speaks multiple languages, including English, Persian, and Portuguese.
