“Our mission is to help you—or your child (if you are a parent)—take control of your life, face your fears, and learn to navigate uncertainty with confidence. We strive to provide a caring and compassionate atmosphere that focuses on ensuring you are receiving the best care around. Mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and OCD, are treatable—and it is our mission to create healthier minds and happier individuals throughout our community” as stated on Weston Family Psychology’s website.

Providing an integrative, client-centered approach to healing, Dr. Lang has experience working with clients who have struggled with a wide range of challenges spanning their entire lifetimes. She received clinical training within schools, hospitals, and community-based settings serving individuals, groups, and families. However, she is especially fond of helping children and adolescents who have experienced anxiety, depression, and trauma.

When working with such individuals and adults, she tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs of her clients. She implements a variety of evidence-based therapeutic tools including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, as well as attachment and solution-focused interventions.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Lang graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 2009. She then went on to earn her Master of Arts degree and her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2013 and 2017, respectively. Prior to finishing her postdoctoral residency at Nova Southeastern University, she completed her APA-accredited, pre-doctoral internship with the Community Action & Human Services Department of Miami, Dade County.

Taking a particular interest in assisting individuals who have experienced trauma, she has worked with survivors of domestic abuse as well as students impacted by the Parkland shooting. She utilizes narrative, existential, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapies to assist individuals to overcome their reactions to traumatic events.

As a native Spanish speaker and the daughter of Argentine immigrants, Dr. Lang has a passion for working with culturally, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse clients and family systems. She finds it imperative to be empathic and genuine, and understands that each individual has unique needs, backgrounds, and lives within different systems and cultures.

Clinical psychology is a broad branch of psychology that focuses on diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Some of the more common disorders that might be treated include mood disorders like depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, in addition to trauma influenced problems such as personality disorders and behavioral difficulties like eating disorders. Licensed clinical psychologists meet with patients to identify problems – emotional, mental, and behavioral – occurring within their lives. Through observation, interviews, and psychological tests, they aim to diagnose any existing disorders or difficulties for their patients.

A supporter of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Dr. Lang attributes her success to the immense support she has received from friends and family, as well as her own passion and perseverance.

Outside of the office, she enjoys kickboxing, eating sushi, traveling, watching the TV show “Friends”, as well as spending time with friends and family. Her favorite places to vacation are Argentina and Israel.
