Dr. Stewart works to provide patients with high-quality integrated orthopedic care and to educate patients and parents regarding medically appropriate options.  Dr. Stewart’s care and attention to providing an excellent patient experience and high-quality care has made him the pediatric orthopedic provider of choice for many patients, parents, and referring physicians across Southern Nevada.

Dr. Stewart treats the full range of pediatric orthopedic conditions, including injuries and fractures, congenital deformities, developmental issues, benign tumors, limb reconstruction, and gait disturbance. He has special expertise in treating complex and medically fragile children and holds regular multidisciplinary specialty clinics for patients with cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, genetic syndromes, and developmental delays.  While known as an outstanding surgeon, Dr. Stewart also works to optimize nonsurgical care for each of his patients.

In 1999, Dr. Stewart earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch Affiliated Hospitals in 2004 and his fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2005.  He is fluent in Spanish and Russian as well as English.

Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.

Dr. Stewart has been the recipient of the Top Doctor Award by Castle Connolly for eleven consecutive years (2011-2021) and has been featured in Vegas Seven Magazine (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and Desert Companion Magazine (2011, 2019, 2020, 2021). Dr. Stewart has also received awards from the Consumer Research Council of America and the American Registry’s Most Honored Doctors.
