Dr. Hill, a board-certified otolaryngologist, is a part of the team of professionals at Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat, LLC, providing personalized and compassionate care to patients across the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Established in 1987, Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat, LLC provides quality care of the entire head and neck region to the residents of Olathe and the surrounding communities. The practice has particular expertise in sinus and allergy disease, pediatric and adult hearing, sleeping disorders, and thyroid disease.

With a broad spectrum of clinical interests, Dr. Hill is especially passionate about pediatric otolaryngology, as well as adult sinus and allergy disease, and thyroid/parathyroid disease. He uses innovative and minimally invasive techniques in his office to treat sinus patients, often avoiding the expense and risk of general anesthesia in the hospital setting.

Believing that relationships built on trust and communication provide the best environment for medical care, he welcomes patient questions. It is important to him that his patients understand their illnesses and treatment plans, and are involved in the medical decision-making process.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Hill completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Vanderbilt University, graduating cum laude in 1985. He then went on to receive his medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, AOA honorary, in 1990. 

Furthering his training, he completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1991 and 1995, respectively. 

Throughout the years, additional training and courses that Dr. Hill has taken include: Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine and Technology in Atlanta, Georgia (2000); ICS Balance Disorders Course in Chicago, Illinois (2001); Pillar Procedure for Snoring and Sleep Apnea in Covington, Louisiana (2005); Flexible Endoscopic Esophageal Sensory Testing in Covington, Louisiana (2005); Powered Intracapsular Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy in Covington, Louisiana (2005); Minimally Invasive Thyroid Surgery in Cincinnati, Ohio (2007); Balloon Sinuplasty in Olathe, Kansas (2007); MicroFlow Sinus Spacer in Chicago, Illinois (2008); American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Basic Course in Dallas, Texas (2010); Office Based Balloon Sinuplasty in Dallas, Texas (2011); In-Office Endoscopic Sinus Surgery in Colorado Springs, Colorado (2018); and Sinuva Sinus Implant Course in New York City, New York (2019).

With an unwavering commitment to his speciality, the doctor is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the Kansas Medical Society, and the Medical Society of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.

Among his leadership and community activities, Dr. Hill has served as Medical Staff President at Olathe Medical Center (2018-2020), Peer Review Committee Chairman at Olathe Medical Center (2016-2018), Surgery Committee Chairman at Olathe Medical Center (2014-2016), and as Medical Executive Committee Member-at-Large at Olathe Medical Center (2012-2014).

Additionally, he has gone on a medical mission trip to Tochimizolco, Mexico providing medicine and head and neck surgery (2010); trained medical students in the clinical office setting for the University of Kansas School of Medicine (2009); served as volunteer medical doctor assisting a FEMA team of doctors at a special needs shelter in Covington, Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina (2005); developed and presented programs to local schools and parent groups on the dangers of smoking and middle ear disease (1997-2001); provided free hearing screening and ear examinations for young school children (1997-1998); chaired the  annual meeting for the Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (1996); founded and developed an otolaryngology clinic serving indigent patients in the Kansas City area, and recruited staff and equipment to treat persistent and complicated head and neck illnesses (1993-1995); as well as has served as an Instructor in polysomnography for technicians at the Sleep/Wake Disorders Center in Birmingham, Alabama (1988-1990).
